Notice of School Delay Due to Weather Conditions
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Due to forecasted weather conditions, Rivercrest ISD will have a 2 hour delayed opening on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. School will start at 10:00 and buildings will open at 9:30. Please be aware that buses will run on a delayed schedule, and students should plan to arrive accordingly.
We encourage everyone to exercise caution when traveling and ensure students are dressed appropriately for the weather.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.

The phone company ran an update last night and our phones are not working at Rivercrest ISD at the moment. They are working on getting phones restored and we will let you know when that occurs.

Prestige will be at the high school on Thursday, Jan. 23 for senior retakes of tux/drape and cap/gown pictures. Any senior wanting a retake (or absent in September) will need to be photographed for the yearbook.

It appears that the winter weather will be here around 9:00 in the morning and continue through Friday. Therefore, our campuses will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 9 and Friday, Jan. 10. This includes all athletic activities and extracurricular events. We will resume classes as normal on Monday.
Junior High games scheduled for Thursday night and the JH tournaments on Saturday are cancelled. Varsity games against Clarksville Friday night have been postponed.

Attention Seniors
#1 Prestige, the senior photo division of Lifetouch, will be here on Thursday, Jan. 16. If any senior missed the original date in September, this is the last opportunity for a picture in the yearbook. If any senior would like retakes, this is the time. Prestige will NOT be back on campus for senior pictures. BOTH tux & drape and cap & gown pictures will be taken.
#2 Senior forms for the yearbook (sent home before the break) are due back by Friday, January 17. Forms and payment need to be returned to Stephanie Purviance through email or at the high school office.

THE AUDITORIUM IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION SO WE WILL HAVE OUR CONCERT IN THE GYM!

Meeting Announcement
Rivercrest ISD will host a Veteran’s Day celebration beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the high school gymnasium on Friday, November 15, 2024. Everyone is invited to this program to honor the men and women who have served our great country. We would be honored for all veterans of our armed services to attend the celebration. Veterans who will be attending are asked to meet in the high school library between 9:00 – 9:45 prior to the program. Lunch will be served following the program. Please share this information with any veteran that you know who may want to attend.
