Rivercrest ISD will host a Veteran’s Day celebration beginning at 9:00 A.M. in the high school gymnasium on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Everyone is invited to this program to honor the men and women who have served our great country.

Please share this information with any veteran that you know who may want to attend.
Rivercrest ISD Parents and Guardians,
Today, our Mighty Rivercrest Rebel Regiment Marching Band placed in the top three at the Area marching contest in Lindale, Texas. This great accomplishment for our band has earned them the opportunity to compete in the State UIL Marching Band Contest in the Alamodome in San Antonio on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
Although it is quite a distance from Johntown, Texas, we want to give everyone an opportunity to travel to San Antonio to support and cheer for our Band in the State competition. Therefore, Rivercrest ISD will be closed all day for students and staff on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
We are very proud of the accomplishments of our band program, and we are especially proud of our band students for representing Rivercrest ISD in such a great way.
Best of luck to our Rivercrest Rebel Regiment Marching Band in the State UIL Marching Band Competition!!
Sincerely,
Stanley Jessee
Superintendent, Rivercrest ISD

Rivercrest ISD announced its policy today that this school year, healthy meals will be offered every school day to all students at no cost. Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year. Each school/site or central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed upon request.
While no application or eligibility determination process is required for your student to receive free meals this school year, the income eligibility requirement will likely resume in the 2022-2023 school year. A Household Income Data Collection sheet will be sent home with your child. It is very important that families complete this socioeconomic form in order for schools to receive Title I and State Compensatory Education funding. We want to continue to provide these necessary learning supports, but without your assistance
we may not be able to.
